Located on the east side of Du’ao Village, Putuo, and north of Yingjia Bay Reservoir, Shen Garden is an architectural complex of ancient-style residences. It is a Sino-Korean cultural park built based on the story of the Jin Dynasty’s Shen Guogong and the Korean filial daughter, Shen Qing. The garden features main themes such as the ‘Maritime Silk Road’, Shen Qing’s filial devotion to her blind father, the spread of the Guanyin culture to the east, and scenes from the lives of Shen Guogong and Shen Qing, showcasing the historical friendship and cultural exchange between Putuo, China, and Gochung, Korea.

Shen Garden consists of several halls including the Maritime Silk Road Hall, Filial Daughter Pavilion, Duke’s Hall, Shen De Jing House, Qing Lang Pavilion, Tea Source Pavilion, and Elegant Hall, with over 300 artifacts, auxiliary exhibits, and large-scale art pieces, vividly recreating the timeless tale of Shen Qing’s ‘selling herself to fulfill filial duty’ and the long-standing friendly exchanges and cultural interactions between Putuo and Gochung.
