The Former French Concession Building was constructed between 1929 and 1931, featuring a classical revival style and a three-story mixed structure. The facade design adheres to the classical three-part division, with the top layer consisting of the cornice and parapet, the second floor featuring six Ionic-style colonnades, and the ground floor centered with three arched portals. The main body of the building is prominent, with symmetrical wings on both sides, giving the entire structure a stable and luxurious appearance. In 1945, the Japanese military surrender ceremony in Tianjin was held in front of this building, which now serves as the Tianjin Children’s Library. It is open to the public from 9:00 to 17:00 all year round.
