Hua Shikai’s former residence is located on Bei’an Dao in the Hebei District. Constructed during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China period, the building covers an area of approximately 448.16 square meters. This two-story building features a basement, is made of brick and wood, and has a sloping tile roof. It was one of the 16 conical-roofed buildings of its time, with a corrugated tile structure on the roof, making it quite impressive. The residence is listed as an immovable cultural relic in Tianjin that has not yet been officially declared a protected cultural heritage site.
