Haiguang Temple was originally a famous temple and tourist attraction in Tianjin. It was built in 1705 (the forty-fourth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty). It was constructed by Lan Li, the general of Tianjin Town, on the east side of the official road three li away from the south gate of the old city of Tianjin. After liberation, this place was successively changed into the 259th Hospital of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, etc.
All of these were within the scope of Haiguang Temple in those years. Up to now, in the courtyard of the Institute of Hematology, there are still barracks, stables and combat command centers with radio shielding equipment left over from the Japanese barracks in the past. Open all year round and open all day.Haiguang Temple
