From Yunzhao Temple in Panshan, heading east and ascending step by step, the stone steps can only accommodate one person. The precipitousness is daunting. On the eastern cliff wall are engraved the four large characters ‘Qu Tian Chi Wu’. Further up is the ‘Gasping Rock’, on which is engraved ‘Commanding a panoramic view of all mountains’, written by Chen Guorui. Continuing upward, one reaches the highest peak of Panshan – Guayue Peak.

At Guayue Peak in the early morning, one can fully enjoy the surging and rising sun; in the evening, one can view the magnificent scenery of colorful clouds filling the sky and the forest dyed in layers; after the rain stops, one can appreciate the ethereal and ever-changing clouds. Open all year round and all day. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
