The Hebei Haiyan Museum, styled in an antique architectural design, spans three floors. The courtyard is reminiscent of Suzhou gardens, with pavilions and towers reflecting in the water, artificial hills adorned with green bamboos, and winding corridors that encircle the tranquil and elegant environment.
The museum primarily showcases salt industry materials from across the nation, supported by a variety of high-tech methods, vividly recreating the multifaceted cultural aspects of China’s salt production and the life of salt workers, which dates back more than 4000 years. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:30; closed all day on Mondays; Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00; and during the National Day holiday from 09:00 to 17:00.
