Hedong Park is located on Chenglin Road in Hedong District, facing SOS Children’s Village across the street. Initially constructed in 1995 and officially opened to the public on August 1, 1997, Hedong Park spans an area of 100,000 square meters. The park currently houses 1,643 trees, including Chinese scholar trees, white wax trees, and French plane trees, as well as 4,506 shrubs such as crape myrtle, forsythia, and pearl plum.
A unique sunken fountain square, characteristic of the northern region, is built within the park, covering an area of 9,500 square meters with a drop of 2 meters. The amusement park features attractions like a large observation wheel, double flying sky-controlled airplanes, bumper cars, a rink, electric mini-train, electric swings, and battery-powered vehicles. In 1998, over 200 ornamental pigeons were purchased, adding a joyful and peaceful atmosphere to the park. A newly constructed swimming pool, located on the south side of the park, covers a water area of 2,000 square meters. The park is open from January 1st to December 31st, from 09:00 to 18:00 every day.Hedong Park
