The Hu Bian Cun Architectural Complex is an early, large-scale, beautiful and relatively complete new-style Shikumen lilong building in Hangzhou. The facade pays attention to Europeanized details such as reliefs and lace sculptures on doorposts and lintels. The main entrance on the north side is the Shikumen of the alley, with the words ‘Hu Bian Cun’ on the lintel. The complex is composed of two rows of lilong buildings, east and west, connected by an overpass in the middle. This residence was invested and built by Zhang Yichun. Zhang Yichun has two properties in Hangzhou, and Hu Bian Cun is one of them, mainly used for rental and charging. All kinds of people have lived here, mostly middle-class people, as well as remnants of the party and the state and descendants of celebrities. Open all year round and all day.
