Hulong Temple, formerly known as ‘Baofeng Academy’, was established by the renowned scholar Zhao Xie during the Yuan Dynasty. Nestled on the outskirts of Cicheng Town, it is situated in a scenic spot called Aojin Tan. The temple is embraced by lush green mountains on three sides, giving the impression that it sits steadily on an armchair when viewed from afar.

With a rich historical background, Hulong Temple underwent a restoration project in 1998, supported by local departments. The project commenced on the west side of the temple’s original location. The main hall was constructed first, followed by the wing rooms and ancillary facilities, gradually taking shape. Today, the temple has come back to life with the ringing of bells and drums, continuing its legacy of wisdom and life, and has become a popular scenic spot.
