Huyuan Garden, also known as ‘Huyuan’, is located in the Dongjuanmen Historical and Cultural District in Yangzhou and is a municipal cultural heritage site. Originally a private residence of a salt merchant, Huyuan Garden was later purchased by He Lianfan, a former prefect of Ji’an, Jiangxi, during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty. He constructed an exquisite pavilion with three bays, named ‘Huiyu An’.
