The Jiaojiang Submarine Sightseeing Base, imbued with the atmosphere of a military harbor, is located on the north side of Daqiao Park in Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City. It is a new tourist attraction in Jiaojiang that integrates military, marine, ecological, cultural, and leisure elements.
The base houses a replica of the Soviet Union’s 633-type submarine, referred to as ‘349’, known in China as ’33 Boat’ and classified as an R-class submarine. In the West, it is called the ‘Romeo’ class.

The decommissioned submarine was originally moored in Jiaozhou Bay, Qingdao, primarily used for training and readiness. It was approved by the Jiaojiang District in 2011 through a letter from the Zhejiang Provincial Government to the General Equipment Department of the People’s Liberation Army of China and officially ‘settled’ in Jiaojiang in 2013, becoming a new red tourism attraction in Jiaojiang.

Opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round.

Preferential policies for children: Free for those under 1.2 meters in height (not including 1.2 meters); discounted tickets for those between 1.2 meters (including 1.2 meters) and 1.5 meters (not including 1.5 meters).
