The archway of the First Market in Eastern Beijing is located in Baodi District, Tianjin. The imperial court set up a salt depot in Baodi to store salt. Subsequently, it drove all kinds of trades. The shops here became increasingly prosperous and formed a large market town. It reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty. Later, it was praised as ‘the First Market in Eastern Beijing’. The archway is of a wooden-mixed structure with glazed tile roof. There are patterns such as carved dragons and flowers painted on it. Below are connected four red lacquered wooden pillars and white marble seats. The shape is exquisite, unique and magnificent.

Opening hours: open all day throughout the year.
