Jingwu Gate · Chinese Martial Arts Garden is located next to Tuanbo Avenue in Jingwu Town, south of Tianjin City. It is a park themed around commemorating the patriotic martial artist Huo Yuanjia. This place was once the former residence and burial site of Huo Yuanjia. Today, a cemetery and memorial hall have been built within the scenic area, where visitors can pay their respects and learn about the life story of this legendary figure. The area of the scenic spot is quite large, with a length and width of about four to five hundred meters. It is usually not crowded, offering a spacious and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for strolling and enjoying the surroundings.
The scenic area features ancient-style buildings and lush greenery, providing a pleasant environment. It is recommended to spend 2-3 hours visiting. To the east of the site is Huo Yuanjia’s cemetery, which includes a memorial hall, martial arts divine path, and Huo Yuanjia’s tomb for paying respects. The west side is Huo Yuanjia Square, which features a statue of him. Prominently, there is the Huo Yuanjia Memorial Hall in the center of the square, displaying Huo Yuanjia’s life and artifacts, as well as films about his deeds, which are worth a serious visit to understand the life of this patriotic martial artist. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 16:30 all year round.
