In ancient lore, a fisherman’s family sustained their livelihood by fishing at sea. Fate took a turn one fateful day when they were caught in a sudden typhoon. The father and his two sons were swept into the ocean’s grasp. Clinging to a ship’s plank, they battled the elements for days, enduring hunger and thirst. Miraculously, they washed ashore on Wuzhizhou Island.

Upon reaching the island, they discovered a small puddle near the beach, which saved their lives. Grateful for their deliverance, the family decided to make the island their home. They dug a well at the site of the puddle, dubbing it the ‘Life Well’. This well has since served generations of fishermen who venture out to sea, providing them with a vital source of water. The well remains open all year round and is accessible day and night.
