Mantingfang is nestled in the picturesque Da Nanhu Scenic Area of Tangshan City, within the 1970 Tangshan Earthquake Film and Television Base. According to Ms. Jing Xiaofeng, the name Mantingfang originates from the ancient Chinese poetic term, inspired by the verse ‘The fragrant grass fills the courtyard, easy to dusk’ by Tang Wu Rong. The name Mantingfang is chosen to reflect the essence of presenting the most beautiful aspects of life to every friend.

In collaboration with the Tangshan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Mantingfang is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Tangshan’s cultural heritage, known as the ‘Three Flowers of Eastern Hebei’, which include Pingju Opera, Shadow Puppetry, and Laoting Dagu.
Upon entering Mantingfang, you step into a miniature version of old Tangshan, steeped in nostalgia.
