Sanxuantang, the former residence of Liu Yongfu who once served as the Sanxuan Commander in Qinzhou, is a well-preserved architectural gem that exudes a dignified and simple elegance. Adorned with beautiful color paintings, the building features a blend of late Qing Dynasty style and ethnic characteristics.

Upon entering the residence, one is greeted by a white marble statue of General Liu, followed by the main hall through the Tuolong Gate. The reception hall is divided into four sections, showcasing Liu Yongfu’s life and achievements: ‘Heroes Emerge from Hardship’, ‘Raising the Black Flag against the French’, ‘Fighting the Japanese in Taiwan’, and ‘The Strength of the Tiger in the Evening of Life’.

A stroll through the residence reveals restored living quarters and relics from the past, offering a glimpse into General Liu’s life and inspiring patriotic fervor. The Sanxuantang is located in front of Yongfu Square, with the Qinzhou Museum not far to the north, both of which are worth visiting. Crossing Yongfu Square to the banks of the Qinzhou River offers a pleasant spot to enjoy the breeze and scenery. The site is open year-round from 9:00 to 17:00.
