Set in the Northern Song Dynasty, the play tells the touching story of wealthy young lady Chen Miaochang and scholar Pan Bizheng. They remain steadfast in their love amid a turbulent era. Obstacles such as war and societal norms test their love, culminating in a life-defining affirmation of the true meaning of love.

The play skillfully integrates Kunqu Opera with modern ballet, creating a novel form of dramatic expression through guqin music, poetry, and dance. The subtlety of Kunqu and the elegance of ballet complement each other, enabling the audience to feel the rich heritage of traditional culture and appreciate the innovative charm of modern art.

While conveying sincere emotions and immortal love, the work also explores the contradiction between emotions and career aspirations.

The play is open from October 18th to October 19th, Friday to Saturday, starting at 19:30, subject to the day’s schedule.
