Artist Wang Jianwei’s Perspective

Artist Wang Jianwei believes that the artist’s work is in itself an ecosystem. As the artist himself contemplated in 1994’s ‘Planting—Cycle’: how to construct an environment for the emergence of something. This environment is not a reorganization of relationships that produces another ‘new’ form, but rather an attempt to find a ‘landing point’ in the gap between their original positions and the current environment.

The Exhibition as an Object

Considering the exhibition as an object itself, this project brings together works produced at different times, from different perspectives, and in different media within the same ecosystem, attempting to open up a new hybridity of time and reality.

Thoughts on Works in Different Times and Spaces

Because, if each work is a unique object, what kind of effects can they produce when they meet at different times and spaces, and in a new environment? And can they stimulate new potential? All of this is not something we can foresee, and their flatness with us determines that they are still exerting an effect when we are not present. This is also the original intention of this project.

Opening Hours

Open from September 12th to October 26th, with specific business hours subject to the conditions of the day.
