Shuanghe Cave, nestled in the heart of China, presents a remarkable karst cave system. This intricate network of caves extends over 550 meters in depth, encompassing four main levels, eight primary caves, and more than 200 tributary caves. With five underground rivers and 34 cave entrances, it forms a labyrinth of interconnected and stacked caves, a true geological marvel.

The geological park is renowned for its complete range of karst landforms, showcasing stone waterfalls, stone flags, helictites, and gypsum crystals. These natural formations create an otherworldly ambiance, akin to a celestial palace adorned with snow and silver flowers. This geological wonder is rare in the world and unique to China.

Adding to the vibrancy of the landscape is the cave’s ecosystem, which includes leeches, tadpoles, shrimp, and frogs. This complements the external scenery, featuring sinkholes, peak clusters, gorges, waterfalls, and pastoral landscapes.

Visitors to the geopark can enjoy a variety of attractions, such as the Underground Cracks Scenic Area, Shuanghe Valley Scenic Area, Shuanghe Crystal Cave, Shuanghe Inn Resort, and Shuanghe International Caving Base Camp. These offer a comprehensive tourism experience that includes sightseeing, cave exploration, hot spring vacations, hiking, scientific research, and educational activities.

China Central Television has lauded Shuanghe Cave as the ‘Karst Natural Cave Museum’ and ‘The Gateway to the Chinese Center of the Earth’. The park welcomes visitors year-round, with operating hours from 08:30 to 17:00.
