The Tianjin Dagang Olympic Museum is one of the twelve members of the International Olympic Museum Alliance and is the second Olympic-themed museum in China approved by the International Olympic Committee. The museum features an open structure with the main building divided into two levels, which is simple and bright. The glass corridor uniquely connects the three exhibition halls, a first in the world.


The museum aims to inherit Olympic culture and promote the Olympic spirit. It hopes to present the history of the Olympics and rare cultural relics to the public, allowing them to gain more knowledge about the Olympics and to promote and uphold the ‘faster, higher, stronger’ Olympic spirit, as well as the spirit of participation, fairness, and peace.


Opening hours are all year round, Monday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 16:30. Essential tips for visiting include: 1. Please maintain silence and do not touch exhibits, climbing display cases and fences is strictly prohibited; 2. Photography is not allowed in the second-floor exhibition hall; 3. Smoking is prohibited in the museum, and littering is not allowed; 4. Please store bags and park vehicles according to regulations; 5. Group visits require prior appointment.
