In commemoration of revolutionary martyrs and to promote the great spirit of the Anti-Japanese War, the Chongqing Shapingba Museum’s ‘Fire of the Calligraphy – Anti-Japanese War Stone Rubbing Exhibition’ has come to Tianjin, opening to the public at the Tianjin Art Museum on October 27th.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the Li Shutong (Former Residence) Memorial Hall, Chongqing Shapingba Museum, and Tianjin Art Museum, and is divided into three parts: ‘The Beauty of Our Land, Praising the Landscape of Our Motherland’, ‘United in Hatred, Reflecting the Historical Facts of the Anti-Japanese War’, and ‘The Nation Loses Its Pillars, Mourning the Heroes of the Anti-Japanese War’. A total of 40 rubbings and 8 sets of cultural relics are displayed.
The exhibits are rich and diverse, covering aspects such as praising the landscape of the motherland, reflecting the historical facts of the Anti-Japanese War, and mourning the heroes of the war. The exhibition showcases the patriotic sentiments of the military and civilians in the Southwest rear area, their willingness to fight to the death, their national spirit of never yielding, their heroic courage to fight against the powerful, and their unyielding belief in victory.
The exhibition is open from October 27th to November 20th, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
