Located in the central landmark area on the east side of the Tianjin Cultural Center in Hexi District, Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, the Tianjin Grand Theatre is the largest cultural venue within the cultural center. It is positioned as a comprehensive multifunctional art creation and performance institution, consisting of an opera house, a concert hall, a small theater, and a multifunctional hall.
The theatre has a total of 3600 seats. Equipped with professional sound and lighting equipment from world-renowned companies, it boasts a state-of-the-art fully automated mechanical stage, making it a modern, high-end theatre. The theatre has a total of 3200 seats, with rehearsal halls on the first and fourth floors. Additionally, the Grand Theatre features a Chinese and Western restaurant with an area of about 7000 square meters, capable of accommodating 700 diners at the same time, as well as ancillary facilities. There is also a commercial space of about 5500 square meters under a 6-meter platform, which can serve as a venue for art training and art business targeting the city’s high-end cultural consumers. The opening hours are from 10:00 to 18:00 all year round. The theatre is closed without performances, and business hours are adjusted according to the performance schedule.
