The Tianjin Olympic Sports Center, affectionately known as the ‘Water Drop’, is one of the venues for the preliminary football matches of the 29th Olympic Games. Located in the southwest of Tianjin, it stands as a landmark of the city. Covering an area of 80,000 square meters, the stadium boasts a total construction area of 158,000 square meters, equipped with comprehensive functions and state-of-the-art facilities.

The main structure of the stadium stretches 407.3 meters in length from north to south and 284.6 meters in width from east to west, with a height of 53 meters. It includes 518 seats for VIPs, 272 seats for journalists, and 60,000 seats for spectators, along with auxiliary facilities such as shops, exhibition halls, conference rooms, and fitness centers.

The competition area features eight 400-meter oval tracks and a straight track, making it suitable for both football and track and field competitions. Additionally, the gymnasium can host large-scale cultural performances, assemblies, and exhibitions. It currently serves as the home ground for Tianjin Teda Football Club and Tianjin Tianhai Football Club in the Chinese Super League.
