The Tianjin Port Exhibition Hall is located in the western section of the Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Zone, adjacent to the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone and the Tianjin Economic Development Zone. It is composed of four massive blocks with solid walls surrounding a central hall, creating a stable and rigorous architectural style with a simple and grand shape, symbolizing the development background of Tianjin Port’s land reclamation from the sea and its establishment by the sea.

The exhibition area of the hall is mainly divided into: the main lobby display on the second floor, and the ancient, modern, and future development of Tianjin Port. The entire exhibition is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the central building, divided into four exhibition areas. On both sides of the second-floor lobby are the first exhibition area, the evolution history of the Tianjin Plain and ancient Tianjin Port, and the second exhibition area, the modern Tianjin Port. The third and fourth exhibition areas are on the third floor, representing the modern and future Tianjin Port, respectively.

As the first port exhibition hall in China, the Tianjin Port Exhibition Hall houses over 1000 pieces of textual and graphic materials, and more than 600 physical objects. The exhibition hall, with the theme of tracing history, showcasing achievements, looking forward to the future, and promoting development, truly recaptures the historical footprint of Tianjin Port’s origin, changes, evolution, and development over 2000 years. It reflects the status and role of Tianjin Port in different periods and its interactive relationship with urban development. It showcases the entrepreneurial spirit of hard work and determination, the pioneering and competitive consciousness, and the modernization and grand prospects of Tianjin Port. The hall is open all year round from 9:00 to 18:00.
