Youyichang, established and opened in 1928, added the sixth and seventh floors as theaters and other entertainment facilities in 1931. It is a traditional shopping mall in Tianjin.
Once the largest shopping mall in Tianjin, Youyichang was also a major commercial and entertainment district, symbolizing Tianjin’s commerce. It is now one of the top three retail department stores in Tianjin and ranks among the top ten shopping malls in the country. Youyichang offers a wide variety of products, with 30,000 types of goods available, sourcing from all over the country and known for its comprehensive range of small merchandise. The building was designed by the French company Yonghe Engineering, with architect Mule, featuring a classical eclectic style.
