Tianta, completed in 1991, is a ‘tower in the water’ and a member of the World Federation of Great Towers. Resembling a sword leaning against the sky, Tianta is known for its nickname ‘Tianta Xuanyun’, standing at 415.2 meters tall, making it the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest in Asia. Tianta primarily serves two functions: broadcasting and television signal transmission, as well as tourism and sightseeing.

Located in Hexi District, Tianjin, at the junction of Zijinshan Road and Weijing South Road, opposite the Water Park, Tianta is a 4A scenic spot. The observation deck at Tianta is situated at an altitude of 253 meters, where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Tianjin; the indoor area also features a starry hall and high-powered telescopes for a more immersive experience.

As a landmark scenic spot in Tianjin, Tianta promotes the city’s historical culture and conveys the spirit of urban construction. With the main theme of ‘A Hundred Years of History in Tianjin’, a 360-degree ‘Dare to be the First’ theme exhibition is set around the tower. Tianta West Bank Study Room · Zhi Dao Bar, located at 257 meters high, is one of the highest rotating study rooms in the country. It includes a fine coffee bar and four experience projects: a cloud art installation, a 160 billion pixel VR panoramic view of Tianjin, a tower top selfie spot, and a ‘Following the Light’ glass art exhibition.

The study room has nearly 10,000 books, with a rich variety covering 22 categories such as philosophy, culture, literature, art, history, geography, astronomy, and more, all available for free borrowing for visitors. Additionally, on New Year’s Eve 2020, Tianta collaborated with major enterprises to create the highest naked-eye 3D advertising light show on a national TV tower. Climb Tianta and overlook Tianjin, taking in the beautiful scenery of the city!
