Tianjin Water Park is located on the southern side of Tianjin city, serving as a leisure destination within the urban area. The park is composed of three large lakes and eleven islands, featuring trees, lotus ponds, and distinctive Japanese and Chinese garden landscapes, creating a very beautiful environment. The park offers a variety of entertainment options such as boating, ferris wheels, and roller coasters.

Covering a large area, the park extends for about two to three kilometers from north to south. The northern part is a free park, while the southern part is the paid Tianjin Zoo, which can be visited together. The duration of the visit varies depending on personal interests. For a leisurely stroll and sightseeing, 1-2 hours should be sufficient. However, if you wish to boat or engage in entertainment activities, it may take 3-4 hours. To explore both the park and the zoo, a full half-day is recommended. Most visitors explore the park on foot, but there are also electric carts available for rent within the park.

The park has entrances on all four sides, with the main entrance being the West Gate on the northwest side, located next to the Zhou Enlai-Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall Station on Subway Line 3. Upon entering through this gate, you will find yourself at the northern part of the park. The eastern side is the amusement area, featuring more than a dozen entertainment options such as rapids, roller coasters, ferris wheels, pirate ships, and flying humans. Although these attractions may not be as thrilling as those in Happy Valley, they are quite affordable, typically costing only a few tens of yuan, and are worth experiencing.

Heading south, you will arrive at the banks of the East Lake and West Lake, where there are several exquisitely constructed gardens such as the bonsai garden, water garden, and peony garden, modeled after Suzhou gardens with pavilions and waterside pavilions, exuding elegance. In the middle of the two lakes, there is a lotus pond that is particularly beautiful when the lotus flowers bloom in the summer, making it an excellent spot for photography. Additionally, there are several boat docks by the lakes offering pedal boats and rowing boats for entertainment.

To the south of the East Lake is a small garden named Kobe Garden, built under the auspices of Kobe City, Japan, featuring entirely Japanese-style architecture with cherry blossom pavilions, Japanese tea rooms, and other distinctive Japanese facilities, making it a unique place to visit. The southern part of the park is home to Tianjin Zoo, which is suitable for visitors who enjoy watching animals or bringing children for a fun time.

There are also several animal or plant observation pavilions nearby, such as the Bird Language Forest and the Qirui Pavilion, and it might be worth purchasing a combined ticket. In winter, the zoo also has a ski resort open for skiing. After visiting the zoo, there is no need to retrace your steps; you can exit the park directly from the southern gate. The park is open all year round from 06:00 to 21:00, and the ferris wheel operates from 8:30 to 18:30.
