Tongyin Pavilion is a traditional Chinese garden architecture featuring a single-layered Xieshan-style roof with small tiles. It was reconstructed in the ninth year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty (1870). The pavilion is named for the distinctive sound of raindrops hitting the leaves of the Chinese parasol trees, creating a ‘pa-pa’ sound.
