The Xintian Steel Industrial Tourism Scenic Area is located in Dongli District, Tianjin. It is located in the golden corridor between ‘Jincheng’ and ‘Bincheng’. It is built relying on the production base of Tianjin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. It has unique steel industrial production resources, historical and cultural heritage, and humanistic architectural landscapes. On December 29, 2021, it officially became one of the first national AAA-level steel industrial tourism scenic spots in Tianjin.
It mainly has seven core tourism landscapes including tourist service center, interactive experience park, environmental protection ecological park, art sculpture park, industrial culture park, brightly lit park, and corporate culture exhibition hall. There are nine core production process landscapes including the Internet operation center, high-speed wire rod workshop, No. 2 blast furnace operation area, bar factory, medium and heavy plate production workshop, desulfurization and nitric acid central control room, sewage treatment plant, ironmaking plant, and steelmaking plant. As a science popularization education base in Tianjin and an off-campus practice base for young pioneers in Dongli District, adhering to the six development concepts of ‘party building, green, innovation, lean, wisdom, and happiness’, the scenic area is committed to taking steel industrial production as the carrier. Combined with scenic area construction and the needs of student research and learning, and centering on different popular science themes, it rationally plans research and learning products. Through rich expression forms and various experience projects, it creates a modern industrial tourism area integrating steel production, popular science research and learning, and interactive experience for the public, and shows ‘the great power of industry and the harmony of ecology’ to the society with high spirits.
