The Yangliuqing Folk Culture Museum in Tianjin showcases the historical and cultural characteristics of the ancient town of Yangliuqing, inheriting the essence of traditional Chinese culture.

The exhibition of the museum is centered around the canal culture, with Yangliuqing woodblock New Year paintings as the main thread, interwoven with the unique canal culture and the culture of ‘Gan Da Ying’ (a form of ancient trade fair), which together reflect the folk historical culture accumulated over a thousand years in the ancient town.

The museum utilizes a large number of old objects from folk production and daily life, old photographs, and vintage New Year paintings to provide visitors with a cultural feast on both visual and spiritual levels, fully displaying the prosperity of traditional folk culture in northern China, represented by New Year paintings, courtyard culture, canal culture, and folk culture.

The museum is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:30.
