Zhang Ruiting’s Former Residence is located at No. 9 Huayuan Road, Heping District, built in 1922. It is a three-story building with a basement. The residence features exterior corridors on three sides, with a semi-circular flower hall at the center. Inside the hall, there are four octagonal pillars with a fountain between them. The glass windows of the flower hall are adorned with colorful glass pieces forming scenic pictures.
On either side of the hall, there is a salon, dining room, and reception room. The second floor houses bedrooms and bathrooms. The third floor contains bedrooms and a large terrace. This residence exhibits typical Nordic architectural features and is currently used by the Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce. Zhang Ruiting (1878-1944) was a prominent businessman in early Tianjin, taking over the Beiyang Cotton Mill in 1930.
