Zhou Enlai’s Ancestral Residence is a series of massive buildings. The main attraction is the ‘Centenary Hall’ where Zhou Enlai’s family lived. The scenic spot ticket includes the former residence, the exhibition hall of premier’s deeds and the adjacent He Miaojian Temple. The ancestral residence is connected to the memorial hall. Each courtyard is separated by a patio, and the two sides are connected by stone corridors. The overall structure is regular, with a solemn and simple style, and has strong local characteristics of Shaoxing. The house has been renovated several times, but the style and structure basically remain the original. In 1998, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Zhou Enlai’s birth, it was renovated again and the Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall was expanded. Later, there was also Zhou Enlai Memorial Square and so on. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00.
