Zhuozhou City Museum is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Huayang West Road and East Street in Zhuozhou City, covering an area of about 12 acres with 8 exhibition halls inside. The architectural style combines traditional Chinese garden elements with modern architecture, spanning an area of 5,000 square meters. The museum also features a cultural relics storage room, an academic lecture hall, pottery experience area, tea bar, and rest hall, making it a comprehensive museum that integrates collection, exhibition, research, promotion, education, and leisure functions.
With the theme ‘Fertile Land of Youyan, Beautiful Zhuozhou’, the museum showcases the rich historical culture of Zhuozhou. The ‘Zhuo Water Long Song’ exhibition hall displays the ancient civilization history of Zhuozhou; the ‘Stone Art and Spirit’ and ‘Pottery Rhyme and Color’ exhibition halls feature special displays of fine cultural relics; the ‘Fan Yang Legacy’ exhibition hall gathers the splendid intangible cultural heritage of Zhuozhou; the ‘Turbulent Years’ exhibition hall exhibits the revolutionary history of Zhuozhou people; and the ‘Pillar of Heaven’ central hall features large-scale reliefs of six major historical events in Zhuozhou.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:00 all year round; closed all day on Mondays, with specific business status subject to daily opening conditions.
