In commemoration of the centenary of Jin Yong, the master of martial arts fiction, we revisit the confluence of classics and innovation. The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of Jin Yong’s birth, and this exhibition is held to pay tribute to his creative achievements. The special exhibition aims to display rare artifacts and collections of Jin Yong that were never made public during his lifetime, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the thoughts and emotions behind his creations.

Explore Jin Yong’s creative journey, and glimpse the master’s inner landscape through precious artifacts. The exhibition combines rare artifacts, classic scene recreations, and digital interactive technology to create an immersive world of Jin Yong. Several rare artifacts displayed for the first time include the first publications of Jin Yong’s novels in newspapers and magazines, personal letters, and personal items and collections he used, which document Jin Yong’s creative process and everyday life. In addition, the private collections donated by Jin Yong’s wife add an irreplaceable unique value to the exhibition.

The spirit of chivalry and righteousness is passed down, and we look forward to the birth of a Jin Yong Museum in Taiwan. The exhibition is not only a feast of martial arts culture but also aims to rekindle the ‘striving for self-improvement’ spirit in Jin Yong’s works, a unique cultural gene written in the lives of Chinese people. Jin Yong’s works are full of the pursuit of justice and profound portrayals of human nature. The indomitable spirit of the knights in adversity is the core value that this exhibition hopes to convey.

Diverse parent-child interactive activities enrich the cultural experience. The exhibition period has specially planned many parent-child interactive activities, such as the ‘Little Knight Hanfu Martial Arts Workshop,’ the crosstalk salon lecture led by Feng Yigang, and the Vinyl Decision in the park, which will play classic vinyl music from Jin Yong’s collection every Sunday afternoon. The exhibition will also invite Taiwan’s original IP animal martial arts market and out-of-print martial arts book market, providing visitors with a rich and diverse martial arts cultural experience. It is worth mentioning that Go Goddess He Jiajia will lend her voice to the exhibition, providing visitors with an exclusive audio tour, which is expected to be launched in mid-December. More exciting activities and cross-industry collaborations are to be announced soon!
