Charity Temple is one of the Buddhist shrines in Taichung City in the late Qing Dynasty. After Taiwan’s recovery, in Taichung Buddhism, Japanese sects withdrew and Chinese mainland Buddhism was introduced, entering another brand new situation. Charity Temple has completed projects such as the Grand Hall of Sakyamuni, the nursing home, and the Huazang Pagoda. It is magnificent and majestic. The garden scenery is elegant and the environment is quiet and secluded. It has become an ideal place for outing and sightseeing in Beitun area. Opening hours: Open all year round, Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 11:30, 14:00 – 17:00.
