Also known as the Tang Shaofu Bai Gongci, this site is located within an ancient-style courtyard at the entrance of Shantang Street. A stone statue of Bai Juyi stands tall in the center of the hall, with the Shantang Qingfeng Corridor on one side. On the bluestone stele are depicted sixteen historical figures related to Suzhou, Changmen, and Shantang, with black and white drawings that bring the characters to life. Inside the temple, there are several pictures displaying Bai Juyi’s footprints in Suzhou and his contributions to the local people. Behind the life-sized statue of Bai Juyi, which stands on a marble platform, a large-scale art piece named ‘Bai Juyi Repairing Shantang for the People’ has attracted many tourists to stop and admire. The opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.
