Longquan Palace at Longmu Well primarily worships the Heavenly Mother. In the 49th year of the Qianlong era, the Lin family ascended the stage at the mouth of the Luye Gate Creek and walked south along the coast for several days, eventually stopping at the foot of Dagu Mountain beside the Qiwen Gate in Fengyi City. They noticed the mountain range resembling a dragon and, after seeking approval from the Heavenly Mother, settled in this auspicious location, building a thatched house and developing the area. They also enshrined the golden statue of the Heavenly Mother in their home. The temple is named ‘Longquan Palace’ because it is located at the auspicious spot where the dragon spits out sweet spring water, known as Longmu Well.
