Houjian Mountain is one of the four scenic spots of Sun Moon Lake, with an elevation of 1008 meters. The entrance is located at the Nantou Bus Terminal at an elevation of 663 meters, with a horizontal ascent of approximately 345 meters. The entire route is about 6.5 kilometers long and is a physically challenging trail.
At the summit, there is a rest pavilion and picnic tables, from where one can enjoy a panoramic view of Sun Moon Lake, offering a very beautiful scenery. The trail is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.Houjian Mountain Trail
