Shigang Dam is the source of water supply for Greater Taichung. The dam body was destroyed during the 921 earthquake. After restoration, a part of the broken dam is specially reserved as a memorial, allowing people to feel the irresistible power of nature. At present, the damaged part of the dam body is used as a memorial site for earthquake disaster landscapes. Tourists can enter on foot and walk through the corridor on the dam to view the entire dam.
