Wuxi Taihu International Golf Club is located at the southern end of Taihu National Tourist Resort (Mashan) in the southwest of Wuxi City. It is only about 3 kilometers away from the famous Lingshan Grand Buddha scenic area. It is an 18-hole, 72-par course where lakeside and mountains blend. The total length of the fairway is 7331 yards. The unique topography and landforms make the front nine holes and the back nine holes of the course each have distinct landscape characteristics.
The front nine holes are close to Taihu Lake, with flat terrain and many water surfaces, presenting a landscape of a riverside water town golf course in southern Jiangsu. The back nine holes are located among green mountains and on high ridges. The upper and lower fairways are staggered and changed, presenting a typical mountain golf course landscape. The fairway design here takes medium and high-level golfers as the main group, taking into account the needs of beginners. For professional golfers, it is even more challenging. While experiencing the charm of water towns in the front nine holes, golfers need to challenge and conquer water obstacles of different difficulties. The combination of holes 1, 2, 6, and 7 with mountainous hills enriches the course landscape. The fairways of the back nine holes run through valleys and extend on high ridges. The changing fairway scenery stimulates golfers to display superb golf skills and keen spatial judgment ability. There are large areas of orange trees and peach trees planted in the club. In particular, there are more than a thousand bayberry trees in full bloom on the course. Every summer, the trees are covered with purplish-red fruits.
