Twin Peaks is located on the southeast side of the park, covering an area of 300,000 square meters. The highest point of the mountain is 48 meters. It is the first artificial simulated natural mountain forest with a cavity structure in China with a height exceeding 40 meters. As a ‘green highland’ in downtown Shanghai, Twin Peaks takes ‘landscape mountain building’ as the design starting point. More than 7,000 arbor trees are planted on the mountain to meet the urban landscape demand of ‘full coverage of arbors and shrubs’, forming a rich ‘natural landform’ landscape area. And fully consider the continuation and combination of the mountain and the entire park. Use the form of earth-covered buildings and the landscaping technique of stacking mountains and arranging waters to restore the natural and wild mountain forest, brook and waterfall, and show the urban mountain forest style. There are winding footpaths in the mountains for citizens to take a walk, rest and climb the slope for a distant view. The interior of the mountain adopts a cavity structure and is equipped with functional facilities such as parking garages and substations, and is interconnected with the outside. Through the ecological space with continuous landscape, a landscape effect of ‘smelling fragrance and enjoying greenery, and different sceneries with every step’ is formed, painting a livable picture of’mountains in the city, water in the mountains, and people in the scenery’. Opening hours: Open from 08:00 to 18:30 all year round. Preferential policies: Children: Children under 1.0m (excluding) in height do not need to make an appointment. They must be accompanied by adults and cannot climb the mountain alone. Free.
