Mufu Mountain runs across the northern end of Gulou District and the western end of Qixia District in Nanjing City. It is a hilly mountain range on the south bank of the Yangtze River. It starts from Shangyuanmen in the west and ends at Yanziji in the east, with a length of about 5.5 kilometers. The main peak of Laoshan is 190 meters high. Legend has it that when Emperor Yuan of Jin, Sima Rui, crossed the river, Wang Dao set up a military headquarters here, so it was named Mufu Mountain.

Also, because there are many stones on the mountain, it was historically called Lime Mountain and White Stone Mountain. The mountains of Mufu Mountain undulate continuously. Standing on Mufu Mountain and looking into the distance, the sky and scenery merge into one color. The water of the Yangtze River surges forward at the foot of the mountain. In the Qing Dynasty, there were forty-eight scenic spots in Jinling.

Mufu Mountain has six scenic spots: climbing Mufu Mountain, Damo Ancient Cave, Yongji River Flow, Hualong Beautiful Land, Jiashan Listening to Sutras, and Sunset at Yanziji. Opening hours: Open from 9:00 to 17:00 all year round.
