The park’s construction prioritizes greening, with appropriate tree species chosen based on local conditions, and a rational combination of native plants. A large number of native tree species are planted, while also considering the introduction of species with strong adaptability and high ornamental value, ensuring the stable growth of green plants and creating a beautiful garden landscape. Construction is carried out without destroying the original ecological environment, with the addition of over 70 species and more than 600,000 plants. Solar-powered lighting is used within the park to further highlight the ecological park’s design concept.
The park revolves around the cultural characteristics of Yangzhou, closely integrating Yangzhou’s historical culture with modern urban public open spaces. It has restored the historically famous scenic spots, Bagua Pond and Yu Gou Pavilion, making Shugang West Peak Ecological Park a continuation and sublimation of the historical context of the Slender West Lake National Key Scenic Area. The park is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
