Located in the northwest corner of the county, West Lake is an artificially modified natural lake. It is larger in the south and smaller in the north, resembling a reclining gourd, and is renowned for its lotus flowers. Originally a natural depression formed by rainwater runoff from Zhongxiu, Shengui, Wufu, and Agate mountains, the lake was dredged and enclosed with stone embankments as early as the Song Dynasty, creating a water body “six to seven li wide.”

Through successive dynasties of cultivation and enhancement, various pavilions and platforms were constructed, including the West Lake Hall, Lake Light Pavilion, Lingbo Pavilion, Chuixiang Pavilion, Spring Breeze Pavilion, Xingxin Pavilion, Huanle Pavilion, Jinglian Pavilion, Haoran Terrace, and Chaoran Terrace.

Opening hours: Open all day, year-round.

Essential Tips: To prevent crowd gatherings, various cultural performances and other group activities will remain suspended in the scenic area until pandemic prevention and control measures are lifted.
