The Jixian Drum Tower, originally constructed in 1371 during the Ming Dynasty’s Hongwu period, is located on Wenchang Road in Jixian County, Tianjin. It is an ancient architectural structure that exemplifies the architectural style of the Han Chinese during the Ming Dynasty.

The tower stands on a high city platform in the center of the city, with three bays facing east and west, and two bays in depth facing north and south. Surrounded by ten thick red-painted Ming dynasty columns, the tower features a dougong (bracket set) corridor and a green tile roof with a nine-ridge mountain-style structure, reflecting the ingenuity and superb architectural skills of the ancient Han Chinese working people.

This building is currently a protected cultural heritage site in Tianjin, a cultural heritage site in Jixian County, and a historically significant architectural structure of key protection level. It is open to the public all year round, with full-day access.
