Yan Jiaqi’s former residence, located in Tianjin, was the home of the former captain of the Tianjin Security Force, the Chief of Staff of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army, and the Vice President of the Logistics College of the People’s Liberation Army of China. Constructed in 1920, the residence is situated at what was once Liyasite Road, now Hebei District, Victory Road No. 401.
The residence is a three-story mixed-structure detached house with a basement. The exterior of the building features a roughcast wall for the first floor and eaves, with the rest being a clear water brick wall. A porch is located at the main entrance of the building, and a terrace is present on the third floor. Both balconies and terrace railings are adorned with vase-shaped railings. The building’s top features a multi-sloped roof with flat tiles, overhanging eaves, and decorative floral patterns on the window lintels and eaves. Yan Jiaqi’s former residence is currently classified as a historical architectural style building with general protection status.
