The word ‘broken relationship’ has probably made many people suffer and shed tears for it. On May 1, 2019, the Shanghai Museum of Broken Relationships officially opened. It is located on Nanjing East Road, which has been popular for 150 years. She is destined to be a street with stories. In the Museum of Broken Relationships, leave my memories there, beautiful or painful. In any case, those are all things we once shared.

Ticket stubs, love letters, photos, gifts, each one seems to be the past self. Here, you can leave your own past, listen quietly to other people’s stories, and vent the emotions that need to be hidden well in life. Here are hundreds of ‘love relics’ on display. All stories are handwritten and sent. Every word and every item has witnessed the little things in the past. The Shanghai Museum of Broken Relationships has set up many interactive areas.

I hope everyone can learn to let go and move on through participation. There are all kinds of love in this world, but there is the same heartache. This place is like a container for emotions and stories. Perhaps it is because of these stories and exhibits, as well as different styles of interactive areas that the Museum of Broken Relationships has a different soul. I hope that whether now or in the future, we can all enjoy every love and treat everyone well.
