Located in Zhonghong Village, Fengjing Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai, the Jinshan Peasant Painting Village is a tourist scenic area integrating peasant painting research, creation, exhibition, collection, circulation, and certification, and featuring the rural charm of Jiangnan. The village borders Liantang in Qingpu to the north, Xinbang in Songjiang to the east, and Jiaxing in Zhejiang to the west, and is a village under Fengjing Town, known as a ‘Chinese Historical and Cultural Town’. The planned total area of the Peasant Painting Village is 4,500 acres, divided into five phases: ‘Danqing Renjia’, ‘Penghu Renjia’, ‘Shui Shang Renjia’, ‘Daoxiang Renjia’, and ‘Fengjing Renjia’.
Major attractions and entertainment projects include: the Jinshan Peasant Painting Exhibition Hall, fishing at the farmhouse pond, children’s play in ‘Nongxian Garden’, five peasant painter living and creation studios, leisure at the ‘Nongxian Grass Corridor’, and cultural performances at the ‘Zhiqing Square’. Opening hours are from May 1st to August 25th, 08:00-17:00; from August 26th to April 30th, 08:00-16:30.
