Zhi Shan Yan, standing at an elevation of approximately 52 meters, is a small hill located at the foot of Yangmingshan in Shilin District, Taipei. The wooden walkway on the hill is one of Taipei’s renowned hiking trails. Along the way, one can encounter numerous lush, towering ancient trees and a wealth of cultural landscapes, making it an ideal destination for family hikes. The hiking intensity is not high, and the entire route can typically be completed in about half an hour. Visitors can take the MRT to Zhishan Station, walk back along Fukuo Road to Zhongshan North Road Section 5, and ascend the Fulin Bridge embankment. Alternatively, one can disembark at Shilin Station, follow Zhongshan North Road to Fulin Bridge, and enjoy a riverside stroll.
