Yan Xishan was a famous figure in the period of the Republic of China. He died of illness in Taipei on May 23, 1960 and was buried in Yangmingshan, Taipei City. Yan Xishan’s tomb is surrounded by peaks and ridges and lush forests and bamboos. The tombstone and precious dome in the cemetery, the tomb passage ascending step by step in front and the mountain at the back form a complete form of cemetery feng shui. Yan Xishan’s tomb and Zhongneng Cave and red brick house in Yan Xishan’s former residence hundreds of meters away are listed as historical sites and complement each other.
